    onexcuiadmin question

How do I use this tool?

I have selected sme settings I want to apply and clicked save. The save format is an XML file.

What do I do with the xml file once it is saved?

Previous versions would save as a reg file. So I am not sure what I am supposed to do.

    Thanks,

    John

You need to place the *.xml files at the location "%appdata%\Avaya\Avaya one-X Communicator" Which is "C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Avaya\Avaya one-X Communicator" (XXXX - is current user)

You may find additional info in this document:

Avaya one-X® Communicator Centralized Administration Tool Guide

There are several XML files. Each of which are described in the above document. As an example for login.xml file:

You can save this file in the user path or the installation path or both
The user path for Microsoft Windows® 7 and 8 is: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Avaya\Avaya one-X Communicator folder.

The default installation paths are as follows:
        • For 32–bit Microsoft Windows® 7 and 8: C:\Program Files\Avaya\Avaya one-X Communicator.
        • For 64–bit Microsoft Windows® 7 and 8: C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\Avaya one-X Communicator.
Note: The user can change the actual path during installation. If you specify a parameter in the login.xml file in one of the paths, the parameter specified in the installation path overrides the parameter specified in the user path. Avaya one-X® Communicator creates the login.xml file, if you enter the appropriate information in the fields in Centralized Administration Tool, and then save the settings. You can update the login.xml file using Centralized Administration Tool.

        I hope this info helps.
