ADVD Video Quality is not HD

Hi there,

When I make a video call between my two ADVDs the video quality is low and clearly not HD. I've ensured that I've enabled the H.264 codec in the ADVD settings file. Is there anywhere else I need to enable it?

Hi Dan,

Yes, Axxxsettings.txt is where you can enable H.264. Apart from this make sure ADVD is on 1.1.1 & has SMGR, SM & CM as per following release notes:

Thanks for the info Sid. This was all in place and I verified with traces that H.264 was being used, it just didn't look that crisp to me. 1.1.2 came out so I upgraded to that to see if it would help. Unfortunately I can't tell because the video firmware upgrade failed on one of the ADVDs and now the unit needs to be replaced Oh the joy!
