CES 6.1 install issues

Has anyone had any experience installing CES?
We are attempting to install at our site, and receiving the following error in the post_install_config file.

WASX7246E: Cannot establish "SOAP" connection to host "localhost" because of an authentication failure. Ensure that user and password are correct on the command line or in a properties file.
Exception message (if any): "ADMN0022E: Access is denied for the getProcessType operation on Server MBean because of insufficient or empty credentials."

other than this error being reported, what is the general state of CES?

can you login to the admin portal?

from the ces cli what does service 1xp status respond with (server1 running)

server1 service is the Webshpere component which is a MUST for CES to operate correctly.

If not running, you can attempt to restart by service 1xp stop (you will need the LDAP account and password defined in install to complete this) then service 1xp start, or simply restart the CES application from CDOM.

Can't login into Admin portal.[
Luckily we have a "LAB" active directory here. I have built, as close as possible, the lab to look like my production AD. When I do that the install completes successfully. But when I go back to use the production AD it fails.
After the SSL exchange prompt (post-install-config file) I get the following:

Add signer to the trust store now? (y/n) A retry of the request may need to occur if the socket times out while waiting for a prompt response. If the retry is required, note that the prompt will not be redisplayed if (y) is entered, which indicates the signer has already been added to the trust store.

LDAP domain

Today i solve the same issue, by changing the domain name. One thing is sure, the problem come from the LDAP login/password. But if the domain is not complete (something.company.com), you'll have a login password error.
