Cannot add 4 digit Mailbox to Aura Msging Site

Our Aura Messaging server 6.1 was originally configured with one site which uses 5 digit mailboxes and extensions.

We added a second site and configured it for 4 digit mailboxes and extensions. When I attempt to add a 4 digit mailbox I get :

The mailbox number 4995 cannot be saved since it does not match the mailbox length (4 digits). Please verify the site definition and/or the mailbox length. LDAP Error 1512.

The error message does not appear to make sense since 4995 is 4 digits long. Am I missing a field somewhere? I have verified that the Site Definition is 4 digit.

Also the LDAP Error confuses me since we do not use any LDAP integration. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Messaging supports only the fixed mailbox number length system wide. Messaging does not support variable length mailbox numbers. So if the system was installed initially for 5 digits, than all mailboxes would have to be 5 digits.

We did find that so now we have the mailbox which is 5 digits mapped to an extension that is 4. It is working however now our Site that uses 5 digit extensions is no longer getting the proper Voicemail treatment. Instead of the greeting it gets "Hello to access your mailbox press #, to leave a message for someone on the system enter their number"

The only thing that looks odd to me so far is that the local extensions are prepended with a "+" in the sip header. The trunk group connected to messaging is not configured to do this (aka pg 4 of the SIP trunk form)

Not sure why the mailbox length would be system wide but then give you the impression that you can change that when creating a new Site.
