    System Manager 6.3

    I have been having this issue since 6.1 and was hoping it would be fix by now. About once every 30 or so days I am unable to login to System Manager. I get the authentication service is unavailable. I then login to system platform to see the SMGR application in a starting state. Stopping and starting does not resolve. I have to reboot the SMGR virtual machine.

    Is anyone else having this issue and/or identify what is causing the issue? Any fix available?

    Hi,

    I do not know if a permanent fix is available yet but I found a less service impacting impacting fix. You do not need to reboot the entire SMGR VM for resolving the problem when it comes. You can resolve the problem by just restarting the "cnd" service.

    Check the following article. It contains more detailed information on how to check the status and how to restart this service.


    *If problem keeps returning even after that, i would suggest that you engage the Avaya backbone team indicating the problem keeps returning. They will be able to help fix this issue permanently.
