One-X Communicator 6.2 breaks presence status display

I recently downloaded and installed 1XC 6.2 (Windows 8 support! Yea!) and upgraded it on my Windows 8 computer. It now logs in successfully to the Presence server and properly shows MY status in the upper left corner. However, only a handful of my other contacts are shown with their status properly indicated. Most have the gray question mark. Even I have a gray question mark!! The users who DO show proper status are new employees who were created after a fairly recent upgrade of the Presence server. From a different computer (with 1XC 6.1) all users show proper status.

From one of these 6.1 computers showing proper status for all users I upgraded 1XC to 6.2. Now that computer shows proper status only for the newest employees.

I am relatively new to the Avaya world and hope that it's something silly that I've done wrong. I appreciate your input.

    1XC and presence

    - what is the exact version of your 1XC?
    - what is the exact version of your Presence Server?

    1XC 6.2 SP1 was recently released.
There are some known issues in the 1XC 6.2 regarding presence (https://downloads.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100177346)

The release notes of 1XC 6.2 SP1 also includes some fixes (https://downloads.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100178877)

      1XC version is 6.2.0.04-GA

      Presence Server version is R016x.00.1.510.1

It's interesting that there is a new update... I just downloaded 6.2.0.04-GA a week ago. Thanks for letting me know. I will download it and give it a try.

I just downloaded and installed 1XC 6.1 SP1 (6.2.1.06-SP1) and there was no change in behavior.
