    96xx# Meaning

I was just asked what the difference between a 96xx and a 96xx# is. Can anyone tell me what the "#" means? The docs are silent regarding this.

Can you elaborate little more to this as 96xx is series of IP phones.

not really sure what meaning it has when extra # is added to it.

Here are two examples from a list sta, one with and one without:

      Ext/ Port/ Name/ Room/ Cv1/ COR/ Cable/
Hunt-to Type Surv GK NN Move Data Ext Cv2 COS TN Jack

      15381 S02265 UCRM MA 25 13
      9611# no 4 1

      15356 S07034 15356 25 13
      9611 no 4 1

Please notice the TYPE under the PORT for each ext. The "#" s appearing on 9641s as well.

it seems that you have aliased stations in your CM , a # indicates that a previously aliased station is now a supported native set type.

        Check this "display alias station"

This feature allows sets that are not yet supported models to be configured and referenced.
