Non ASCII Characters on Extension Names

    Hi,

I've noticed that Avaya does not allow the use of non ASCII characters within the telephone names. Is there any reason? The translation of the phoneset menus to languages other than English are done correctly and including non ascii characters, why should names not be supported?

    Best Regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

My immediate suggestion would be to check the UNICODES defined.

However, I shall request you to open the backbone ticket with Avaya so that one of the BB engineers could look into it in much detail.

    Regards,
    Avaya Associate

      Kantr,

I got the answer: The ABIT tool does it for you.

      Regards,
      Alex
