How to install Pre-upgrade patch

Hi

How can i install the Pre-upgrade patch for upgrading from Communication Manager 4.0.5 to Communication Manager 6 ?
what is the procedures?

my system is:
G700 media gateway
S8300B call server

Use the CM web interface like you would any service pack. Take a backup of the system just in case the pre-upgrade causes issues, install the pre-upgrade patch, and then take another backup. The pre-upgrade patch makes the backup compatible for restoration on CM6.
