Need Help Sending hunt group Off Net

I currently have a Hunt Group with a XXXX digit extension with the member stations being PBX lines connected to our IVR Server. We will be moving to a hosted solution soon and I will have to send all calls coming into our current hunt group extension XXXX off net. What is the best way to handle this?

I need to keep the same XXXX extention as it is a published number and cannot be changed. I hope I made sense in my question. I am a data guy who has inherited our phone system so please bear with me.
    Thank you

Create a virtual or phantom user that has unconditional forwarding enabled to the off-net number. Be sure to include the ARS prefix. Change or create an incoming call route redirecting calls to XXXX to the extension of the forwarded user.

Alternatively, you can create a new hunt group whose only member is a unconditionally forwarded user. On the Fallback tab of group XXXX, set the service mode to out-of-service and change the out-of-service fallback group to the new hunt group containing the forwarded user.

Under System > Telephony, verify "Inhibit Off-Switch Forward/Transfer" is disabled.
