    Licensing

Anyone have a guide for best practice for licensing products
If there is a standalone weblm server, and you have the whole range of products
    CM
    AES
    SMGR
    SM
    SBCE
    AAM
    Utility
    SAL
Where is the best place to install the license? Does Session Manager license have to be installed on SMGR?

Yes, SM licensing must be installed in SMGR WebLM. While you could use SMGR WebLM for all products, I've seen enough SMGR failures to know it's a bad idea. Use a standalone WebLM on VMware for CM, AAM, etc.

      You have options
you can have indivdual weblms on each of those platforms (old school way of doing it), however if you deploy them as ova templates, then you cant have embedded weblm and you need to move to system manager or seperate weblm.

Generally I would say why use the extra resources needed for another weblm if you have system manager up and running (which you need for Aura 7)

If you have a seperate weblm, its a seperate server to keep patching and deploying updates on and additonal overhead.

Even worst case if your system manager failed, all the licenses just drop into grace mode
