SECMOD on SM does not start up

I just installed Session manager but the secmod servive does not start up. Please help.

What version of SM? You can check the /etc/hosts file on Session Manager and System Manager to make sure both have entries pointing to each other.

already done /etc/hosts but still secmod is not up. I have already created SIP entity using intended Security Module IP and already administered Session Manager Management IP in Session Manager Instances.
anymore suggestions?
