    Ipo v9.1 xt500 mcu 9

Hi I wonder if someone can help me, I installed an Avaya IP Office V9.1 with the scopia xt5000 mcu 9 v8.3 everything works fine and the customer is very happy, however when they are in the middle of a video conference doing a presentation they are bombarderd with incoming calls which ruin the presentation. how can I stop these interuptions on the smaller scopia unit?
    thanks
    regards
    mike

We encountered the same issue, you have several video servers in the world that call every minute, hour, day other systems.

I would suggest you put the conference as soon as all have joined into Do Not Disturb Mode. This means that no more participates can join. You can do it with the remote control or via the Scopia Desktop client.

Thank you very much for the reply, I will try this and let the client know, shouldn't be too onerous for them, I just thought there might be a programming step I had missed?

            Hello,

these support articles shown well how to protect the XT5000, if you use them, you will, I mean auto answer set to no, it will prevent that the Scopia Desktop to be able to connect to the MCU. This means that you can no longer connect, except someone accepts the call on the MCU. This is not the aim of the XT Desktop server as the caller invited should be able to connect.

I tried to define the XT Desktop Server as Trusted Source in the contact list, but it does not work. I will open a ticket and find out if it is an issue.

Hello, I have done some tests.

I created an entry in the contact list (directory of the XT5000) were I checked the trust box. I set then the XT5000 to auto answer trusted only. This works for the Scopia Mobile Client but not for the Scopia PC client. Accordingly to the knowledgebase, this scenario seems not being supported.

But for me it should be working as it works with the mobile client, I have opened a service request at support to see if there are any possibilities to have a minimum of security. I have the same issue in our office, so I would appreciate some sort of security.

I totally agree with you, this is becoming more and more of a problem, I hope that you get an answer from Avaya support as I would be very interested to see what they say
