Is it possible with no-acd to set up a huntgroup that hunt between members after x ring ? try 3 times, next 3 times, next 3 times.. as a chain

Yes, you can do that in a coverage path, specify a list of extensions and how many rings at each.

when u set Coverage path, this setting is mandatory

Under Console Parameters(display console-parameters), you will need to increase the section "Return Call Timeout" from the default 30 secs to higher like 45 as per the number of rings u increase for each ext. and in coverage points.
