Hello,
I recently started at a firm that has utilized Avaya for some time now. Unfortunately, my experience is with Skype for Business, and not Avaya. I've been told that we'll need to muddle along with our current equipment for at least another year or so. During this time, I'd like to learn how to get things to function in the most efficient manner possible. The first question I have is can I convert a 9640G IP telephone from H.323 to SIP? What are the advantages in doing so? Is this a complex or easy process? Can I do one phone to test? Are there any other configurations that have to be made to areas such as the Session Manager, Communication Manager? I believe we are using version 6.3 for each of these. Should we upgrade? How easy is this? Does it offer any benefit?
Thanks,
Chris
