Cannot log into System Manager Web with admin

    Hi all,

I am currently deploying a new System Manager in VM and I've run into a slight hiccup. I cannot log into the web console with the Admin account.

This is a new deployment of 6.3.8 on VM. I've deployed the ova and I can do the following:
    1. I can log into the cli using admin/admin - No issues here
    2. I can log into the https://SMGR_IP/local-login using admin/admin - No issues here
    3. When I attempt to login to the web console, at https://SMGR_FQDN/ with admin/admin123 I get redirected to the Change password screen. - All good so far

Now, when I attempt to put in a new password I get redirected back to the main login page with a Authentication Failed message. I can repeat step 3 again, using admin/admin123 but no matter what password I attempt to use I always get the authentication failed until I eventually lock the account.

Any suggestions on things to try? And just to confirm, my password does comply with the password policy. "New passwords are limited to characters in the set a-zA-Z0-9{}|()<>,/.=[]^_@!$%&-+":?`\; and must also meet the following policy requirement(s):
Minimum length of 8 characters, non repeating more than twice consecutively.
Characters must include at least 1 lowercase, 1 uppercase, 1 numeric, 1 special.
Must not include the User ID in forward or reverse.
Must not match any of the previous 6 password(s)."

Just to keep it simple, I've tried using Avaya_2018 and similiar, changing the special character, order, and more.

    Thanks!

UPDATE: After many over-complications I isolated the issue to my browser (Chrome v64). I forgot the older 6.3.x products use the default root certificates with obsolete encryption ciphers which are no longer supported by most browsers. I disabled the securit.ssl3 settings in my Firefox browser and I was able to login and change the default admin password as expected.

Patched SMGR and updated the root certs so all is well now.
