Need help - Calls cutting out

I need some help figuring out something. I've been looking around the web but haven't gotten anything as of yet. I have an s8800 running at a remote location that is having calls cut out after 30 secs or so. I have replaced the DS1 board thinking it was the link but it still causes and issue. I traced a call this morning and received the following error after the call dropped 37 secs into it:
    denial event 1189: Normal, unspecified D1=0x83001c D2=0x1f

Any help with this issue would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Hi,

This is s general denial event. There could be many reason you may experience such denial event. I want you to check following:

    1. Any slip errors on DS1 board & also check if sync is configured for system
    2. If it is non-ISDN trunk ( CAS trunk), I want to check country protocol( ABCD CAS bits) & match it with far-end switch. Place a E-1 / T1 analyzer on line to undersatnd who is droping
    3. If it is a ISDN trunk, I will encourge you to raise Service request to Avaya Product support team. Q.931 message are required to be analysed to understand the actual cause of this drop.

Thanks for posting your query on Avaya Support forum.

      calls cutting in and out.

I'm having sort of the same problem, but I have a remote user that her calls keep breaking up. She's using Avaya One-x 6.2 softphone. We've tested her internet, rebooted router and Modem, still nothing has changed. Is there something in the settings that I might have missed and should have been set???

if calls are disonnected after 32s it sounds like sip-mechanisms ending the call. if one event is not acknowledged by the other side, a retransmission is started, and after some retrials the call is ended. this could be a network / firewall issue or a logical issue.

you can trace this issue with traceSM and see packets resent several times until the server or client sends a "bye".

        regards,
        andre
