I'm a relative newbie when it comes to working in the datacomm field. I'm been tasked with setting up some MAC Address security. I worked through that. Now I need to configure SNMP notifcation when an unauthorized MAC Address plugs into one of our jacks. We have a SNMP server and it works with OpenView. I'm sure setting it up is pretty straightforward, I just need a point in the right direction.

I've reviewed this manual: https://downloads.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100134065

And I am sure all the info I need is there. But it's scattered and fragmentary. Can anyone give me a simple bullet point summary of what I need to do in order to make this happen? The end result I would like is an email notification that there was an unauthorized plug into one of our jacks, what switch/stack, what unit/port and if possible, the MAC Address of the unauthorized device.

Thanks!
