    2908 can't establish VPN

    Hi,

    Hope this is the correct forum.

    I am attempting to use a 2908 (firmware 6.3.1.16) over a VPN to our office network and am having trouble.

    The phone always timesout during IKE phase 1 (no response).

    At the office end I can see the attempts from the phone coming into the Draytek 2920n WAN port, and the Draytek responding several times, but then the phone gives up.

    Most of the phone settings are default, and to be honest I've experimented with many settings just to try to get it through phase 1, but no joy (and a lot of the settings are only effective after phase 1 anyway).

    PCs can establish a VPN (via Windows L2TP/IPsec) fine so I think the Draytek end is ok.

    Can anyone possibly help?

    Is this related to a Avaya Networking Products?
    I can see that you have also posted the same query under the "Telephone, Adjuncts and Adapters" forum.

      No, establishing a VPN is in no way relating to networking. And my Avaya phones are not plugged into a network. And this forum description does not say "VPN" in it.
