Nortel WSS 2380 stuck at boot

    Hi everyone,

i got a brand new Nortel WLan Security Switch 2380. It hasn't been turned on for 10 years. After turning it on, i got the following error code. It failed to boot saying:
    01/00/00 0:04:04 RTC EEPROM CRC Mismatch: CALC_CRC 0x9656 EEPROM_CRC 0x28fe.
    Buffer not valid
load_compact_flash: File <boot0:default> is not a valid image for this platform.
Compact Flash boot failed. No entry set.

I replaced the timekeeper battery but this hasn't fixed the problem. I see the wrong date and time settings but i am not able to correct them.

    Appreciate any and all help.

Mostly this should be an issue with the internal clock battery. replacing should set the problem. But I think there is no way you can set the date and time manually unless it boots.
We have replaced the controller from Avaya using an RMA process in the similar cases.
