    5510 Upgrade path

Hello everyone, we recently had a water problem and it killed our old 5510-48T switch. I had purchased two at the time, but I let my support contract expire a couple of years ago.

Hooking up the new switch I noticed to my horror it is running:
    FW:1.0.0.16
    SW:v3.0.1.00

As this is hugely out of date I am trying to find the proper upgrade path.

I had copies of old firmware files from my dead switch however, most are quite new and I have a bunch of other firmware files I found on my server, but in no particular order.

Am I correct in thinking I have a couple of older routers bin files here as well as the 5xxx file sizes are different then the 55x0 of the same firmware?

    Please help. Thank you.

    Hi,
if you had a SW maintenance contract I would tell you to read the Releasenotes at the Avaya-Pages.

      1) Those are in perfect order.

      2) You are correct that you have a couple of older firmware revisions.

Now to answer the question that is posted in your topic. To upgrade from 3 to current, you need to install every major revision. So, 3.0 -> 4.0 -> 5.0 -> 6.0 -> current.
