Dear forum members,
I am running a small networking/servers lab mainly for my experiments. I have recently obtained four (five, one dead) Nortel BayStack 5510-48t switches from eBay to be able to experiment with link aggregation on stacked switches. Till now, all my networking equipment was Cisco, but i did not want to invest too much for this.
How can i obtain the 6.6.1 firmware for these switches?
I am not a Nortel/Avaya customer and i am really surprised too see how complicated it is just to update the OS. Is there even a way how to obtain the newest OS for these old switches for free? Or for a fee which would not be higher than the 300$ which i paid for the 4 switches altogether?
