    No Logon Access

    Hi All,

We have a number of switches which we cannot access. The logon accounts have expired and so on. So in order to fix this, I was planning to rebuild the stacks, which is very annoying but luckily I have enough spare switches to create them side-by-side and do a hot swap.

However, the current switches are 4826's and the spares are 4850's. Would I able to use a saved config from the 4826's and apply it to the 4850's?

Another question I have, if I copy a config, will it not overwrite all the local accounts? so my plan might not even work anyways?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi casey50, it seems you run in the "Account Lock" bug which is (hopefully) fixed in v5.9.2 and higher.
You'll need to raise an Servicerequest with Avaya Support Guys who are able to "unlock" remotely your affected switches with direct serial connection.
As far as I know it should be possible to communicate with your 4800 via SNMPv2 that gives you an opportunity to define an TFTP-Server, Filename for your ASCII-Config and the "action" to perform this upload. For this you'll need to know the dedicated OIDs.

    Good luck
