Hi All,
I would like to know if VoicePortal5.1 require Aura Session Manager so as to interact with Cs1k(Rls 7.x onwards) system.
Interop document details about 3 kinds of setup:
1. VoicePortal, CS1000
Prerequisite:
* Voice Portal VP 5.1
* Dialog Designer DD5.1
* CS1000 CS1000e 6.00r & SPS server
CS1k setup checklist:
* Configure SIP static endpoints(Proxy mode) in SPS
* Routing entries for that static endpoint
VoicePortal setup checklist:
* Include CS1000 SIP proxy and SIP domain.
* Configure maximum no. of channels.
2. VoicePortal, CS1000 & AACC(AML) --> Front end IVR, IVR behind CC
3. VoicePortal, CS1000 & CC7
Also Interop doc(pertained to 6.0rls) does not mandate about Avaya Aura Session
Manager.
---
However from the "Solution Interoperability Lab Application Notes" document, it
states VoicePortal calls are routed via Avaya Aura session manager.
"calls from different types of stations on Avaya Communication Server 1000E as well
as inbound PSTN calls over T1-PRI were routed by Avaya Aura® Session Manager to
the Voice Portal system where the calling party interacts with a self service
application"
It appears that calls to voicePortal are routed either via NRS(as stated in 6.0Rls)/A.Aura SM(for 7.x Rls).
Could anyone please confirm that A.Aura SM is mandatory from 7.X rls onwards?
thanks,
raj
