AES TSAPI Licensing Midsize Template

When using third party recording software a device group for AES TSAPI Basic RTU is created on a midsize-template. Should the reporting software typically be setup as a separate device group or only one device group used? Also, will the reporting software interaction and recording tsapi function both take up their own license [for double users]? 1 Handset = 2 RTU instead of the 1 RTU?

I have seen on three clients now where the TSAPI Licensing erodes where it instead looks double licenses are necessary instead of just RTU to the administered handsets. Thoughts?

I'm afraid this all depends on your third party software. Again with device groups. Some software will want unrestricted access and others (such as Nice recording) tend to break if you give them unrestricted access.
