Calling list gets hung on de-reject/hash process

I have a script that has worked flawlessly for the past two years. It appends records from a new temp calling list into an active calling list. As of yesterday, the download process of the temp calling list gets stuck when it hashes against the active calling list. I can kill the de-reject and then my script finishes fine but I can't figure out at all why it hangs up and I have to kill it? I ran a check_mts today and saw that I have 1 defunct java process. I plan on running a stop/start of services and I hope that may help. To add the server that provides me these two calling lists has had several issues and has imported bad lists, improper formatting, duplicates, etc. So I plan on removing the .old from these two lists in the clist directory. After that I plan on rebooting the entire dialer.
Anyone else have this issue before?
