    Database Sizing - CCE 4.x and above

    Is there a database sizing tool for CCE 4.x or CCE 5.x for planning purposes?

    for example if you use the following for an approximate size for each media type, where:

    Email Media Store = 8 kb per message
    Preview Contact Mediastore = 3.5 kb per message
    Simle Messaging Mediastore = 8 kb per messation.

    Preview Contact Mediastore
    Sender = 9 characters
    Message = 60 characters (average)
    TEST PATTERN
    · Receive Preview, Release Call
    NOTES:
    · Outbound call was not made
    · Work codes are also stored against interactions in the IDS database. No work codes applied in test
    · No additional information was stored with the contact information
    Simple Messaging Mediastore
    Sender = 9 characters
    Message = 60 characters (average)
    TEST PATTERN
    · Receive SMS, Wait 5 sec, Release call
    NOTES:
    · SMS, MSN, AOL, WEBCHAT message content ARE stored in the ASMediastore Database, so varying lengths of conversation and sender will have an impact on DB Size
    · Work codes are also stored against interactions in the IDS database. No work codes applied in test
    Email Mediastore
    Sender = 24 characters
    Recipient = 24 characters
    Subject = Random 100-150 Characters
    Message = Random 700-750 Characters
    TEST PATTERN
    · Receive Email, Reply, Close Work Email
    NOTES:
    · Auto response was turned ON with Default accepted message
    · Email header information (To / From / Subject ) are stored in the ASMediastore database, the varying length of these will have an impact on DB size
    · Emails themselves (and any attachments) are NOT stored in the ASMediastore Database. They are stored as flat files and their location and header information are stored in the Database.
    · Comments for Suspended work items are stored in the IDS database. No suspensions performed in test
    · Work codes are also stored against interactions in the IDS database. No work codes applied in test

    There is no such sizing tool available as of now.

    You may try to raise this with the CPE team and check if we can have any such tool in the future.
