Reset root password on Voice Portal

Hi,

We have a customer that has lost his root password for the VPMS.
We still have access to the linux server and to the database.

So is there a way to reset the root password?
Can we change something in the database? Or maybe it is related to the linux users?

Hi,

while installing the Avayatized linux it will create few users and one of the user called sroot will have root access, so if you have Avayatized linux installed then please have support tkt open, one of the support engineer will help you to reset root password.

If cutomer installed starndard linux then customer has to reset the password with the help of the unix admin.
