    AOD 8.1.2 first installation

    Hi,
I'm trying to install the dev platform from the ISO file supplied by AVAYA
I'm getting an error message (File attached) when running Eclipse.
    Steps done so far
    1. Downloaded & unzipped OpenJDK 1.8.2 for winmdows.
    2. Setting up the required JAVA_HOME in the Windows system variables, checking java -version : OK
    3. Unzip Eclipse from ISO to a local directory
    4. running eclipse.exe

    Have an idea?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Unfortunately screenshots are not really readable on this forum.
Taking a wild guess, do you know if you downloaded the Java 8 JDK or the JRE? Java 8 has separate downloads for those, and OD Eclipse requires JAVA_HOME to point to the JDK.

      Hi
      Thanks.
While running Eclipse.exe, the message is: Failed to load the JNI shared library, pointing to the JAVA_HOME I set in the Windows environment variable
With your help I got the lead and solved the issue.
It was 64 vs 32 bit issue

      thanks for your response
