Does pcn1711s takecare of Databaseupgrade&Data migration upgrade and the Baseload upgrade?
An upgrade scenario from 16 to 16.3eg.k.
Technically, it will be a databaseupgrade&data migration +baseload upgrade
Does the databaseupgrade&data migration alone upgrade the version to 16.3eg.k directly ?
We haven't reveiwed the contents of the Pcn dvd yet.

Hi,

PCN will have solaris patches and 16.3 CMS software.

From 16.1 to 16.3, it will be base load upgarde. Please follow below document to upgrade CMS:

From 16 to 16.3, you will need Database Upgrade and Data Migration. Please follow below document for the same:

Baseload upgrade document says "Avaya Call Management System(CMS) base load upgrade is installed by Avaya customers who either had problems with an earlier CMS build of release R16.3 or need to upgrade from R16.1 or R16.2 base load to R16.3 load if using a backup procedure other than LAN"
However,once upgrded to 16.3 after performing a databaseupgrade and migration upgrade,I suppose the cms version would showup as 16.3eg,k
To conclude: databaseupgrade and migration upgrade will alone upgrade from 16 to 16.3eg.k.Could you confirm this ?

Hi,

After 16, there was database schema change hence we need to take extra steps to update database on 16.

Please follow below document and CMS will be upgarded to 16.3eg.k

It will have db upgarde, OS updates and CMS upgrade. I will suggest to go thorugh doc to get more details on it.
