    Automate Report Exports

    Hello,

We have just started using the Avaya CMS system and cannot seem to find a way to automate the process of generating reports and having them be exported as CSV files. We have found that all of this can be done manually but is there anyway to completely automate this? Or, what would be even better, would be a way to combine all the report data we need into a single report for export.

Thank you very much for any assistance.

    Hi,

Please follow the steps shared at page 118 in below doc to automate running reports.

It will not need to open supervisor to run the reports. You need to schedule task and report will get the required data.

I am not sure about your second requirement. CMS have so many reports at agent level, skill, trunk, vdn etc. If you want any specific data in the reports, it need to be designed/customized.

    I hope it helps.

    Thanks
    Tosif

Automate Data Dumps with ASA aka Supervisor

I started doing this several years ago. I set up a moderately powerful PC to run exports and reports 24x7. Depending on the type of report, you can run them monthly, weekly, 2 times a week, hourly, or every 60 seconds.

Formatting them is the fun part. Some can be loaded into Word just fine. With others I use Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to load and format them into Excel. If you are used to working in VBA, you are on your way. If not, you can learn by recording macros while making the required keystrokes and looking at the resulting code.

It's a powerful way to get what you need. An there are some nifty formatting tricks in ASA that are helpful. However the learning curve is somewhat steep. I offered to do a workshop on this at a couple of IAUG conferences. But there was seemingly no interest among the selection committee membership.
      Thank you,
