Hi,

Another query on CUE upgrade from the cue upgradeR17 document.We are following the docuemnt that was shared in the earlier post:

Scenario:-If we need to upgrade the cms to latest load,further after the cue upgrade to cms r17,

From page,92 says "Upgrade the CMS load to a newer version of CMS after removing the current version:1. Verify the CMS R17 Standard software disc is in the disc drive."

Which is this disc?
Do we get additional cms software for the upgrade.( like a pcn ?) on top of the cUE upgrade kit.Could you please let us know.

Hi,

You are right. IF CUE kit do not have latest CMS software, you need to order PCN and perform a base load upgrade steps.

PCN will have CMS software disc.

Who can confirm us what dvds are we supposed to get from Avaya along with the CUE kit.can we open an sr to get a clarity on the dvds we need to be shipped by avaya.?

Hi,

The following parts are delivered to the customer’s site:
● Disk drives for your particular hardware configuration:
- Four disk drives for the Sun T5120 4-core
- Eight disk drives for the Sun T5220 and T5120 8-core
- Eight disk drives for the Sun SPARC T4-1
- Two disks for the Sun Netra X4270
● Blank labels used to identify the configuration of the old disk drives, for example, which
slot is c1t0 or c1t1, and so on.
● RAID Adapter card
Note:
Note: Some CUE kits for disk size upgrades do not include the RAID adpater or cables
since those systems already have a RAID adpater installed.
● RAID Cable kit for T5120 and T5220 platforms only.
● CUE upgrade software disk labeled r17cue1X.N.
● A complete set of system software on a bootable disc. The CUE bootable software disc
contains an image of a CUE system built with CMS software.
Note:
Note: The CMS software disc ships with the CUE kit and contains the following software
packages:
- Solaris 10
- Informix IDS
- Informix ILS
- Hardware drivers
