    CCE 5.0 with SSL

An Avaya brochure on CCE 5.0 mentions that SSL will be supported for email but there is nothing in the release notes or in the CCE Control Panel that seems to support SSL configuration. Does anyone know if SSL connection to an email server is now supported in CCE 5.0?

Reply from R&D was "I went through the R&D documents about CCE 5.0 feature implementations, but did not find any information about this feature being supported in CCE 5.0. We might need to update the CCE 5.0 Brochure accordingly.:

Rocky - I haven't seen it in any docs and for sure haven't seen it being a config option in R5.

You can use a open source 'stunnel' application which is a SSL tunneling proxy to add SSL functionality to POP3. You simply install this program where EMS is installed and point the EMS queue POP3 to the 127.0.0.0 loopback address and the stunnel program intercepts it and wraps the EMS POP3 authentication message in SSL and passes it to the POP3 server for retrieval. EMS and Stunnel works works flawlessly.
