    Windows NTP and IC time sync requirements

    I have a client that is looking to install Avaya IC on a number of servers and is choosing to use Windows NTP for time syncing on these servers. I generally recommend that time should be synchronized every 1 to 5 minutes and clock adjustments shouldn't be any greater than 500ms, but the client came back with a list of semi-ambiguous registry values used to control Windows NTP, and while I looked up these values on Microsoft's site, I'm not too sure which values should be changed and what to change them to. Does anyone have any recommended Windows NTP config values for an IC 7.2.3 installation?

    Thanks!

    I would request to consult with APS/BP for this issue as they implement at customer end and would have more idea on these parameters. In support we don't do troubleshoot for a third party product nor there is any documentation available for the same.

      On serveral customer (IC 7.0 and IC 7.2.2) we use the NTP of Windows and changed the standard value to 3 hours and this works fine.

      To be concrete it is the parameter= SpecialPollInterval in the Windows registry.
      Afterwards do not forget to restart the NTP process, otherwise it will not work.

      c:\net stop w32time && net start w32time
