Routing calls to stay in -building for specific ext.

System: G3R version 9 with a remote shelf in a second building

HR wants our sites to dial the same specific extension (6911) to get the first responders. The challenge is they only want the calls to go to the first responders in the same building as the caller to get the call to lessen the confusion.

Currently calls to 911 go out trunks that are localized to the specific building. I didn't program that but I believe it had something to do with the COR.

    Hello,

Can you please provide more details like .

    1) What is the meaning of first responders
    2) Can you show me the ARS analysis being done for the systsm
3)Can you make a tenant partitioning and then route the calls accordingly.

      911 Query

      Hi,

From your post, it seems that the call scenario is working as required.

However, if your question is how it started working, i would like to check your configuration. Also would need to know the call flow and other related information to proceed ahead with the conclusion.

After reviewing your post, I would suggest that you either create an online Service Request at http://support.avaya.com/ >> "Create Service Request", or call into the support center to ask this technical question. You can call us at +1 800 242 2121.

      Thanks,

      Avaya Back Bone Team

Location based routing it also a good for your system
The most significant use of the location concept is for E911 calls. If a station in location 5 dials
911, it must be routed out a trunk in location 5 so that local public safety services, and not public safety
services in a different city, respond to the emergency. A trunk in location 5 is attached to a port network
or media gateway in location 5. There are other applications of the location concept, but in general it is
used to route calls to the proper PSTN trunks.

          First Responders are First Aiders.

Currently the system is set up for 2 partition groups COR 60 is assigned to building A (PGN 2) and all other CORs are to building B (PGN1)

The ARS table is long. I have clipped the last bit which includes 911 which is the only place the partitioned group is used.
          ARS DIGIT ANALYSIS TABLE
          Location: all Percent Full: 4

Dialed Total Route Call Node ANI
String Min Max Pattern Type Num Reqd
          9 7 7 6 hnpa n
          90 6 6 200 locl n
          91 6 6 200 locl n
          911 3 3 p1 alrt n
          976 7 7 deny hnpa n
          n
Now how do I get calls from building A extensions to just go to the First Responder bridged extension in building A and calls from building B extensions to go to a bridged extension in building B when they dial the same extension (6911)?

            Can't be done

After looking at all possibilities and talking with Avaya it was determined what I wanted to do can not be done.

It's not like dialing 911 because it doesn't use the COR because it is not going off the system.
