Incorrect caller ID display on bridged appearances

We're on an old CM2 release. Since converting our tie lines to PRI to support incoming caller id, the display on bridged appearances is off.
The actual information is correct, but displays in an IP address format. For example, if a tie line call comes in from location 123-456, the display on the bridged appearance says 12.34.56. The phone types vary (2420, 8410, 8434).
Calls to the phone where the bridged appearance is the primary extension display correctly.
I don't even have a guess on this one.
    Any assistance is appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is the issue or not, but if you look under dial plan parameters you can select extension display formats. Current software releases have options for inter-location and intra-location formats; I think you have some options available on your release.

It did turn out to be the dialplan parameters. We didn't look there because the problem was only on bridged appearances, we were certain there was some obscure parameter somewhere else.
We also weren't thinking of the inbound caller id as an "extension", though it is 6 digits.
