call routing thru remote coverage path

I do a route statement in a vector to a specific outbound number and it selects the correct trunk group according to the cor / frl and makes the call.
I change that specific outbound number to an extension that has a coverage path with a remote coverage as the first point. The transfer is still made but for some reason it is picking up a trunk group (in the same route pattern) that has a larger frl. I cannot find anything in the chain that would be providing that frl.

Need to check the configuration issue.

I dont think its an issue with CM or anything as product.
