    Finding the fax number calling a user

    I have a user who keeps getting calls from a fax/modem and I need to find the number on my G650 system. She has a analog line no caller ID. How can I go about it or is it possible? Seems to me I remember being shown a way to do a live monitor of an extension in the Site Administration app but I have forgotten how it was done.

    You can run a trace on the analog station: list trace station x

    The trace will timeout after some time however. You're trying to catch lightning in a bottle. This is where call accounting software comes in handy.

      This relates to the Avaya trace utility. I have been looking for a utility to run a tracec over an extended period of time, I found and have used a product called Call Flow Extract. However it has stopped workiing. The last time I checked, we had the current version. Do you know of another?

        Is it possible for your user to transfer the fax/modem call to a station with call display (after quickly announcing to the other party why she's transferring the call)
