    Denail Event 1218

    Trying to get an new trunk group up but experiencing 2 issues. On incoming, did calls ring station but call cannot be picked up, rings twice drops, rings twice again and drops again. If picking the call while ringing, it will not answer. When dialing outbound over the same trunk group we get denial event 1218

    What is the cause value of the denial event , in the below example its a signalling mismatch and this is value 100

    Troubleshooting
    • Check that the protocols at each end of the interface match (for example, both sides are
    AT&T Custom or both sides are NI-2). If the ends of the interface are running different
    protocols, they might be running with different Information Element encoding.
    • Check Communication Manager diagnostics for the IE identifier of the Information Element
    that contains the information that violates protocol.
    The PROGRESS INDICATOR IE information that Communication Manager generates
    should not affect call completion. There is no way to modify how Communication Manager
    generates this information.

    Post the cause value and that will shed a whole lot more light on the situation

      But my guess would be a mismatch of signalling on your ds1 interface , check with what the provider is using and adjust yours to match or tell your provider to use what you want.
