He have been experiencing a very weird problem on a Hotel installation of an Avaya G3siV12 Version 12 PBX.
At random times when the receptionist is talking from the Console Attendant (either incoming or outgoing calls) , the call gets interrupted by extension 102 (or sometimes 101 or 104 or 112) . When the receptionists tries to answer the phone , there is no one there and the reception has to press "Cancel" to return to the previous call.
Furthermore, sometimes in rooms 102 or 104 Guests complained that the phone would ring at random times.
What could be wrong ???
We have a PMS link with Micros-Fidelio, but we are not using Wake-up calls through the system. Just Caller ID and Line On/Off.
Any idea ??
