I have a question about Avaya Contact Recorder for IP Office 500 ( version 9.0 ). Can someone please help me understand where the media stream is captured?

Media is captured on IP Office VMPro. Contact Recorder is configured to index and search the media.

        To search the voice mail

To search the voice mails use IP Office VMPro.

Thanks for the reply. So, it doesn't encrypt or compress the files like Contact Store does? Just uses the WAV file saved by VM pro?

            Follow up

That is correct, it does not encrypt the file, but it does secure from tampering. This a function of Contact Recorder. Details can be found in the IPO Knowledge base of this function.

So, to take this one step further, I understand that contact Store and Contact Recorder both work with IPOCC, but it sounds like Contact Recorder does not compress the recordings and is using the .wav files stored in VM Pro. Contact Store has built in archiving processes. Does Contact Recorder have this as well, assuming it needs a lot more storage as .wav files
