    Emailing reports

    Hi,

I am using the automatic report generator.
It seems to work,in the default directory(C:\ProgramData\reporting data) I can see the reports.
    But there is no emailing.
Is it possible to use the ip-adress of the ipocc-server in Administration-Configuration-Service-Special Settings?
Or do I need to fill in the servername?
Or is there a way to trace why this is not working?

    Regards, Peter

    Check Special settings

    Please check in module Configuration:

Service - Special Settings > SMTP server and Domain

Check also virus scanner, example McAfee blocks Emails.

      The settings look ok.
Can I see something in the logs?

      Regards, Peter

You should see the report generation and email attempts in the Statistic_Scheduler log (TTrace -> MonStat -> Statistic_Scheduler). I see the data under TC_ImplCheck and TC_General.

Also keep in mind that the email relay in 9.0/9.1 is a "blind relay" meaning it must be port 25 with no username/password.

The reports are indeed generated, but not emaild
I have set the following email settings.
Does it function with an IP-address?
Do I need to fill in the domain with or without servername.
          Please see attachment.

          Regards, Peter

The domain should be reachable from IPOCC server.
It does functions with an IP address.
Do you see anything in the logs of the mail server 192.168.1.219 ?
I assume, on your IPOCC server the anti-virus is disabled from preventing mails from being sent.

There is no virusscanner installed, as this is a basic ova installation.
I have submitted a ticket to Avaya.
When they reply I will let you know.

              Regards, Peter

If the SMTP(mail) server is not allowing empty sender address, this won't work.
Normally the mail servers don't allow it.
