IPOCC Chat - Topic is currently not available for chatting

    Hello

Whatever I try on the test pages for Chat I get - Topic is currently not available for chatting

I can chat from a test XMPP client into IPOCC but not from the webpages.
I've changed the server address and chat topic name but it still says that ut's not available.

    Any ideas?

Can you please post the chat taskserver and webchatdialog log files.
Anonymous support from there should be there from XMPP server.

The below is NOT needed, but you can give it a try.
Create user "webchatdialog" with pass as "DialogChatWeb" on your XMPP server.
Restart Tomcat WWW and Chat Task Server after doing the change.

              in your trace Line 177
              you get error
              remote-server-not-found

              IPOCC no find One-x Portal

IPOCC find "dv0117te.dv01.deevalleygroup.com" is your XMPP Domaine ?
resolve DNS "dv0117te.dv01.deevalleygroup.com" => IP to ONx-X portal or your XMPP Server

As lebon pointed out, please check the IPOCC Chat Server configuration.

Please keep the XMPP Server domain name same at both places i.e. in XMPP server and in Domain field of Chat Server configuration in IPOCC.

                  Hello

We've worked it out now by adding the server name to the domain as well as in the server field.

It's now up and running and using Openfire.

                  Thanks All

Please ensure that the domain name is pingable.
Please post the logs, of Chat Task Server and WebChat. In TTrace, under webchat, Please enable WEBCHAT_Data flag.

In case of config changes like this, please restart first Chat TS (happens quickly), followed by Tomcat WWW (takes several minutes).

Did you meant "its "now" up" instead of "not" ?
