Avaya IPOCC Announcement in Thai Language

    Hi All,

Customer would like to develop IVR call flow to provide ordering item via voice menu after inputting the required amount the IVR will then repeat the amount back to the user. The problem we are having is that the pre-recorded announcement (Static) is recorded in Thai Language and about to replay to user but the amount (Dynamic) in number format will need to be in English number (Text to Speech), is there a way to be able to announce number in Thai Language using pre-recording instead? Please help advise. Thank you.

    Hi tdamro,

As per my knowledge IPOCC doesn't have any option to include the language packs in IVR as we can do in AAEP. May be other users can share some knowledge on this.

For announcing the numbers in thai format, I see below possibilities
    1. For tts IPOCC uses Microsoft speech, please explore Microsoft speech configuration to check how it can achieve your requirement.
    2. Other way is you have to develop a script in IVR which can break the entered number in hundreds, thousand, millions parts and then build the logic to announce this using your pre recorded file. But honestly that will be very complex and I am afraid that still the user experience will not be very nice.

    Thanks,

      Hi Verma,

Thank you for your kind suggestions, I'm investigating option 1 for Microsoft speech engine but it seems that Thai is not on the supported languages https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...ffice.14).aspx

So I think I will need to go via the option 2 route and try this out. Will update on the end results.

      Thank you very much.
