Maximum characters in Variable

Hello,

we are using a variable (Global) to show some text to available agents, (See attachement text.jpg).
When entering a third line, we get the error as seen in attchment "maximum text lenght".
What is the maximum text lenght, and can this be extended?

Or is there some other way to get this text in the "Telephony screen"?

normaly 255 character can be used
