    CS1000 system with VCS Conferencing

    Good afternoon,

Has anyone integrated a CS1000 with a Tandberg/Cisco VCS video conferencing solution. The CS1000 is at release 5.5 and I'm hoping to use SIP trunks to link the two systems together.

I cant find anything on the devconnect regarding the CS1000 only the ACM so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
CS1K can connect to any 3rd party SIP gateway for interworking.
For your conferencing solution, Cisco/Tandberg should be configured as a static SIP endpoint in NRS . Please use CDP dialing plan in CS .
For example in Call Server ,define CDP 3500 in LD 87 via SIP route to NRS
in NRS , for the Cisco/Tandberg gateway is assoicated with a routing entry 3500/CDP

The concerning intetworking issues are as below:
    1. CS1K send the INVITE with SDP in MIME (content-type=multipart/mixed) that Cisco/Tandberg may not regconize. There is a patch on CS1K SS can remove the MIME format in INVITE

2.CS1K will use RFC2833 for DTMF in the following conditions
    i. If calling party is TDM or PSTN user, only MGC/MC32 DSP will support RFC2833, old MC32 will not support RFC2833
ii.if the calling party is IP phoneset, it must running Unistim Version 3 or above to support RFC2833
in case , CS1K can not support RFC2833, there is issue for in-conference DTMF control

3.By default, the conferencing solution should adapt RFC4240 that CS1K fully support

      Hi cpook

I know its an old thread, but i'm interested in your question.
Do you manage to integrated a CS1000 with a Tandberg/Cisco VCS video conferencing solution
If so, would you please advise on how you do it.

I'm using Cisco C40 video conferencing and would like to integrate the it with Avaya CS 1000 for audio call

      Please advise
