Utility server "IP Phone custom file upload" problem

    Hi All,

I observed 'custom' directory is not present in /var/www/html. I have loaded 'survivable_remote_embedded' template on S8300D server.

If I upload jpeg image using 'IP Phone custom file upload' option then system reports "success". But it only creates a file with name 'custom' in /var/www/html directory. When I reboot phone it doesn't download the jpeg file.

I can see my screensaver with http://utility_IP_address/custom. As the root login password is unkown to me, I can't create custom directory in /var/www/html & place screen saver image there.

If I need to upload screensaver image, how can I do?

I have already installed both 6.1.0.1.8 & 6.1.0.2.8 utility patches of PCN 1831. I believe the utility patches 6.0.0.1.9 & 6.0.0.2.9 mentioned in PCN 1761 are not required.

Request you all to kindly help me.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Murali G

This isn't fixable without Avaya. You are correct by default you don't have the root password. Avaya will provide it for a fee.

I gave up on it, moved all my stuff to a web server I did have root level access. renamed "custom" to custom.jpg and the screensaver worked.
