    Interop issue between 4912 Gen1 and Cisco 2960S

    Dear,

    My customer using 4912 IP Gen1 phones for their contact center.
    Recently, they changed 10/100 workgroup PoE switches to 10/100/1000 cisco 2960S PoE switches.

    Our scenario is as follows: Cisco 2960S <- Avaya 4612 IP phone <- Windows XP PC

    Whenever I plug the phone initially the phone comes online without problem as does the PC. However once the user logs on to the PC and user try to upload any files then the phone loses its connection and does not pass any PC's traffic to the switch.
    The customer change speed and duplex setting on Cisco 2960S port.
    But the issue still occur.

    Has anyone else come across this problem or has workaround?

    Hi Bkoo,

    1.What's the firmware version and 46xxsetting file been loaded to 4612 IP phone?
    2.Is the issue impacting all the extension or particular one?
    3.Can you share the sniffer trace?

      Hi all,

      We had same issues between 4612 and cisco 2960s in last month.
      The issue was resolved after patching the cisco ios as latest one.

      Try patching on cisco 2960s.
