    IP phone 9611G & 9641G

    Hi all,
I have these two phones always prompt me with "backup failed" msg whenever a call is made. When I go to backup manually, it fails too. Anyone encounter similar issue before? What does it backup anyway. It's doesn't affect the phone functionality but just wish to know more about this error.

These phones (All IP Phones) will backup the following info if it applies to the phone in question:

    Call Log
    Custom Labels
    Contacts

This is setup in the 46xxsettings.txt file, and will point to a the option:

    SET BRURI

There are a few other settings that come into play, but that is the 10,000' overview.

Having trouble with IIS 8 on Windows 2012. We've followed all AVAYA settings regarding BRURI, but still failing. Anonymous is disabled, and credentials have been confirmed on http browse to backup folder. Has anyone got this configuration working? It seems that the PUT and GET are failing past authentication.

          thanks,

              Hi tmitelec0m,

Believe that there is some issue with the IIS not allowing HEAD or PUT . Guess you should be getting 404 or 401 error.
You can try MV_IPtel (Avaya's old HTTP server to test) or some other HTTP server to test.
