Having a problem with users unplugging and moving 96XX phones from one location to another. This is causing a problem with 911. Is anyone familiar with an option that will not allow the phones to automatically come back when plugged into an alternate jack.

The phones are presently powering back up when users move to new location and that is what they are designed to do. We don't want that, because so many users are moving their phones without the appropriate permissions, we have found that if user calls 911 we do not have accurate location information for them. This is driving the need to find away to not allow the user to move the phone, and what I am seeing is now allow the phone to register back to the gateway when they unplug. Need a viable solution so that users are forced to stay where they are until the appropriate actions are taken. Thanks in Advance

If you use the "ip-network-map" table appropriately, it shouldn't matter whether someone is moving the telephone or not. The customer won't be able to provide the PSAP with information down to the cubicle level, but they would be able to provide information to the floor level.
